Hello to all our followers!  Fred and I had an awesome day today!  My Sister In Law Gina couldn't be with us today as she is preparing for a week at the beach, but she will be with us on future hikes.  Today was the first day of our Conditioning Hikes for the Xtreme Hike for CF of 31 miles scheduled for 28 September.  We have 14 people signed up but only had seven turn out for our first hike.  What an awesome group of people we met today and I'm so thankful they are out there with us to raise money to help with finding new treatments and a better life for those with Cystic Fibrosis.  Our Guide Corey was awesome and so thankful he will be guiding us on all of our upcoming hikes between now and September.  Today's hike was 6 miles.  the climbs were great and challenging and the weather was couldn't have been perfect.  Low 70's and very little humidity!  Below are a few pictures from our hike today!  And Fred will be posting a few pictures soon!  Please share with others as we'd love to have them follow our progress.

Went on a 6 mile hike yesterday with my Son Evan and our dog Snickers at the Spotyslvania battlefield, it was a beautiful day!  Bless Snickers he hung in there for the whole walk, but boy was he a lazy dog the rest of the day!  Even Snickers is out there giving his support for the CF Cause!

Photos From Cedar Run WhiteOak Canyon Training Hike in the Sannandoah

My Hike for CF Girls Fred Margaret Douglas and Gina Eller and Fred's Husband joined me for a weekend training hike on May 4th.  This hike was without a doubt an endurance trail!  3200 feet, 9.8 miles took 7.5 hours!  We were defiantly sore and exhausted when we got done!  But what a beautiful hike it was, here are a few photos from the hike!  Kathi, Fred, and Gina!
